The Official PlayStation Magazine (UK) podcast may have revealed the fate of Rockstar’s elusive PlayStation 3 exclusive, Agent
Near the end of the podcast, in the readers questions section, the team are asked if The Last Guardian will ever be released.
At 55m 44s Joel from OPSM says ‘What if it’s like Agent, what if it’s coming for something else?’
He then goes on to discuss the fate of Last Guardian by saying ‘Gen 4. At least three people said to us… not on camera… Gen 4.’
A Rockstar exclusive and The Last Guardian would make a fine PlayStation 4 launch line up, what do you think?

I think both titles will still be released on the PS3. Ico and SotC both received high scores, but neither were financially successful. For this reason I believe Sony won’t invest more money into The Last Guardian, because they know the game wont see a profit at the AAA budget level. If Sony drops 150 million on TLG its going to be tough to make that back, especially with a new console with a low install base. Call it ironic, SotC released at the end of the PS2 and TLG will follow suit. As for Agent, I get the feeling R* really wanted LA Noir to be the exclusive deal and just doesnt care enough about Agent enough to waste any more time then contractually needed.. unless Sony sweetens the deal with some kind of incentive, as I’m pretty sure the contract was for a PS3 exclusive and not a PS3 or PS4 exclusive. Besides the PS3 still has several years of life left. If Sony wants the PS3 to have a 10 year life cycle it’ll still need good original games, and not just ugly PS4 ports.

nah I can’t see use waiting at least another 2 years minimum for both these games, they’ll come out on the ps3 for sure
