The PlayStation Jobs site is a good way to keep a track on what’s happening with Sony’s UK divisions, and today it’s been a source of something rather interesting: SCEE’s Liverpool Studio are working on a PS3/PS Vita game.
The role, for an Audio Manager, says that Sony are “looking for an experienced, organised and extremely motivated Audio Manager/Audio Lead, based at SCEE Liverpool Studio, working on an as yet unannounced PS3/Vita.”
“The successful candidate will be passionate about audio and what audio can do to enhance the player’s overall experience,” it says. It also indicates that the game will be “AAA” and suggests some collaboration with the Cambridge based offices.
The obvious guess is a new cross-platform WipEout game, but we’d love to see something new.

Formula Wipeout?
They used to do the F1 games, maybe a spaceship around Monza might just be the tonic. :P
cam the man
Would certainly give that a go.

I know they published Shadow of the Beast and Discworld but did/do Sony own these when they acquired Psygnosis?
It would be nice to see these updated for this gen.

Due to mergers and acquisitions
Shadow of the Beast is probably owned by Sony – But if the rights stayed with the developer then Ubisoft probably own it.
Discworld is a tougher case. It could be owned by Sony, or it could be owned by the programmer, or it could be owned by whoever bought the company assets when the developer closed.
