Andriasang are reporting a rumour (and stress it is a rumour) that a HD PlayStation 3 remake of Capcom’s superb wolf ’em up may be in the works.
The game may be titled ‘Okami Zekkie-ban’ (‘Okami Magnificent Version’).
Okami combined Japanese myths and legends and featured the Shinto sun goddess Amaterasu – who just happened to be a wolf who was rather nifty with a paint brush.
Sounds like an obvious choice for a PlayStation Move release, make it so, Capcom!

PS Vita version too please Capcom!

Holy crap I didn’t think of how awesome a Vita version would be. I too second a Vita port. Amazing. It’s perfect.

This would be AWESOME!!
My only option at the moment is emulation but I’m having issues when reading from the disc.
I would buy Okami with or without Move on the PSN in a heartbeat!

Never played it, looks good though, would have a dabble on a HD remake just to see what all the fuss was about :)

Day 1.

an absolutely fantastic game.
one of those overlooked classics, a hd remake would mean more people getting a chance to play it.
ahh, i remember when capcom were a great publisher, putting out classics like this instead of regurgitating street fighter every few months.

Sumptuous game, absolutely dripping with Japanese culture and out-zelda’ing zelda imo :) Can’t wait to go back to this

This would be lovely, hope it’s true!

Surely this should’ve been done sooner, especially around the launch period of PlayStation Move. This is the killer-app I think for Move, and would be more than worthy of paying for Move + Navigation Controller. I would hope for it not just being the game rendered in 720p with Trophies and 3D and Move patched in. I guess it would be wishful thinking to assume they’d re-develop the 3D assets, higher resolution textures, stable 60FPS frame-rate and some form of Anti-Aliasing, among the trophies and a fully thought-out implementation of Move + Navi, but we can dream. Heck, I’m still dreaming of a Heavenly Sword 2 :)
