Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD will get a considerable patch next week.
The free update will bring 3DTV support, Move controller support, YouTube uploading and a good chunk of bugfixes and other minor additions.
Here’s the full list, in typical Oddworld style:
- 3DTV support – Scour the wilds, ruins and hideouts for scumbag Outlaws with the latest stereoscopic broadcasts from the Mongo River. Oddworld has never had so much D!
- PlayStation Move support – Immerse yourself in the action by pointing and firing from your very own crossbow. (Note: Your PlayStation Move controller is unlikely to resemble a crossbow.)
- Video recording and uploading – Record your victories, failures and candid moments straight to your PlayStation 3, and upload them directly to your YouTube account.
- Brightness & Gamma controls – No need to visit Doc for a new pair of eye-spectacles, now you can change the visibility of the very world around you with our brand new sliders.
- Audio fixes – Tired of lazy Townsfolk cutting themselves off mid-sentence? Fed up with soft-spoken Live Ammo? Is the soundtrack to your adventure jolted, often absent? Never fear! Our audio fixes fix your audio!
- Increased crosshair visibility – 9 out of 10 bounty hunters say they prefer our newer, opaquer crosshair. “It’s so much easier to see!” said excited Corn Jaws of New Yolk City.
- Fixed Quicksaves and Autosaves – Before, you could only load full saves from the Load Game screen. But now you can revert back to your most recent AutoSave and QuickSave for added convenience.
- Extra subtitles – The accessibility of Western Mudos has taken a step up with the introduction of additional gameplay-relevant subtitling in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish.
- Performance Improvements – Ask at your local General Store or Black Market for all available improvements to your experience of life.
Dan’s been playing with the updated version for a few weeks, we’ll see if we can garner his thoughts before the patch goes live.

Me too n can’t wait for all the 3D games I have to look forward to a week tomora! This is a great piece of news considering I just got this with ps+ :)

Same, got it from PS+ along with Motortstorm Apocalypse which I’ve been playing in 3D alot for the past couple of days.
DirtyHabit
Sweet. Was gutted when i got it the other week and was 2D. Had read it was going to be 3D, guess the patch was later than planned.

Nice, I thought the townfolk chickens were just being rude cutting off mid-sentance most of the time, good to see OSWHD getting even more support.

Holding out for the Vita version even though I have +. Hopefully JAW will now just add cross save to the mix.

I’ll just get the Vita version on top of the PS3 version I already have. I just love the Oddworld franchise too much!

I am holding out for the Vita version too. Cross save and buy one get the other free would make me happy. If Sony were to support/pressure devs and publishers to make sure this is the standard, I think would be a very positive result for gamers.

If thay can get the move support down and playing like Sorcery I’l be well happy.

Awesome, an already excellent game getting even more Dev love. I’d recommend getting this game even you don’t have the PS+ freebie. It really is a bargain priced retail game disguised as a PSN title!! ;)

I still fancy the vita version even though i’ve had this since launch

I think that a lot of people are waiting for the Vita version, and I think it’ll be pretty awesome on the handheld, especially as you really can pick up and play with the trendy quicksave feature….no checkpoints needed, just save wherever you like!!

Got this on + but haven’t played yet. I like the move support feature, don’t think there’s enough decent games with move controls. I’ll fire SW up tonight and get this patch going.

You won’t look at the title of this story again :-)
