Oddworld Oddboxx Hits The PSN Today, 4 Games For £15.99

The Oddboxx, a bundle of the first four Oddworld games will be landing on the PlayStation Store in Europe today.

Two of the games come in both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita flavours and there is a bonus avatar for use on the PSN. The full pack includes:

  • Abe’s Oddysee (PS3 & PS Vita)
  • Abe’s Exoddus (PS3 & PS Vita)
  • Munch’s Oddysee HD (PS3)
  • Stranger’s Wrath HD (PS3)
  • Oddworld “Abe Moon” Avatar

That’s a pretty good bundle of games although it’s a mystery as to why the Vita version of Stranger’s Wrath HD  is not included.

U.S. gamers will not be getting this pack on their store as there is a problem with publishing rights.

“SCEA cannot release the Oddboxx because of technicalities regarding the product publisher code,” explains a post on the Oddworld site. “While in SCEE territories, Oddworld is listed as the publisher on all four titles (so there’s no issue), but in SCEA, Oddworld is only the publishers on two of the titles. So at the moment, while we’re hoping to find a solution, we’re not able to release the Oddboxx to you lovely American folks at this time.”

The Oddboxx should be part of today’s PSN Store update and will cost £15.99/€19.99.

  1. Strangers wrath no ps vita version?

    • Well there is the Plus version at the moment. Also the two Abe titles are PS1 games that ‘happen’ to work on Vita. So basically this bundle looks (like the last oddboxx of sorts) targeted for the PS3 more than anything.

      • Oh ok that makes sense I guess. Thought they was all HD remastered can’t stand psone games at all

  2. Great bundle. I would buy it again if I didn’t already own all of these games. I also have the Oddbox on PC. I need more Oddworld in my life!
