Funcom’s modern-world MMO, The Secret World, is still in its infancy at just a week old. From personal experience it seems to have been a pretty successful launch for passionate Norwegian developer, with only a smattering of major bugs, The Secret World’s story-driven approach to the MMO template really paying off.
Looking to extend the experience beyond the game client, Funcom has recently launched “Chronicle” a stat-tracking site equipped with character-by-character in-depth analysis and leaderboards. It’s consistent and well-presented, giving an overview of what you have accomplished and what needs to be done in order to advance.
In between bouts of downtime, we’ve been reviewing The Secret World. We’re far from giving a final verdict, but if you want to keep up to date, you can always check up on our very own Chronicle entry.

I’m really interested in this game, but I’m not going to get it as I dislike subscription-based gaming. Looking forward to the review though.

currently the best mmo at the market ^^
great quest system and story – just a little sad that you have to pay every month though

Even with monthly subscriptions playing a MMO is a cheap hobby.
