CD Projekt, developer of The Witcher and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, has announced that the franchise has sold four million copies worldwide.
Adam Badowski, head of CD Projekt RED studio, said:
“I’m still amazed with the result we have achieved with The Witcher franchise.
“Many gamers on many platforms have been drawn to the vivid and complex world we have created.”
Platforms such as Steam and GoG, which have prominently slashed the price of both titles in the past, have helped to significantly boost the series’ reach and Badowski hints that more of the same may yet be on the way:
“In the gaming world summer means a lot of great, hot deals. So if you still don’t own the game look out for both retail and digital special offers.”

and yet it evades the PS3, i wish they would bring it out for that too.

Sadly it looks like CD Project have no interest in bringing their games to the PS3. I think they’ve lost a lot of sales there, many people were asking for a port.

I’m pretty sure it’s not a lack of interest that keeps them from porting the game to the PS3. It’s the lack of funding or manpower that’s holding them back.

One of the best game series I’ve ever played despite its minor flaws. Well done to them. I hope this means more!

Great news. Witcher 2 is easily the best RPG ever in my opinion. Solid combat, great voice acting and a mature, well-written storyline to hold it all together.

i doubt my pc could run it and i’m not gonna buy it on a streaming service.
