Rockstar have released two new screenshots from their upcoming Grand Theft Auto V, as part of their Asked & Answered series on their blog (via GAF).
“We are very busy working on the game! Everything is going well, but the game is a huge project. We should have more information and some new assets for you soon,” they said.
In response to requests for more information, Rockstar added that “we have often had long gaps between asset releases on previous games and will continue to do so in the future” because “we want to keep plenty back for the actual game release so there are still lots of surprises when you play it.”
“We just have not been in a position to show more of the game than the trailer and will not be for a while yet. We did, however, manage to sneak a quick screenshot out for you… it’s not much, but we thought it was pretty fun.”
“We will try and get some more screens for you soon and then another trailer when we are ready,” they added, although there’s no date on when this might be.

They look about on par with the PS3 version of LA Noire. They don’t look too sharp on my laptop screen, but as the trailer has shown, in motion they look lovely enough. Kinda feel sorry for the PC folk, as it seems from these shots that they won’t be getting a launch day version again…

That’s how PS3 users felt after GTAIV DLC.. Always dedicated to the PlayStation platform and then stick a knife in your back and give Microsoft a big sloppy wet kiss.
Ah well, we all got it in the end… Oh, and yeah, nice screenshots.

The graphics look less cartoony & more realistic than the previous games… Saying that, its hard to tell from a couple of screenshots. Best they release some screens from another strip joint for a closer inspection.

That second one looks pretty damn nice. Not so brown and fudgey as GTA4.
Looks can be deceiving though, hope it’s a bit more cheerful that 4
