According to Japanese blogger Sinobi, via AndriaSang, the PS Vita in Japan has shifted almost 800,000 units since its release last December.
Hardly earth shattering figures, but given the current market and the lack of Japan-centric titles, it’s not exactly a crushing disappointment, either.
Sales figures for the games are less solid, though, here’s the top ten:
- Persona 4 The Golden (188,782)
- Hot Shots Golf 6 (118,985)
- Uncharted Golden Abyss (89,390)
- Gravity Daze/Rush (74,785)
- Dynasty Warriors Next (74,718)
- Tales of Innocence R (71,463)
- Lord of Apocalypse (69,162)
- Ragnarok Odyssey (65,318)
- Gundam Seed Battle Destiny (55,527)
- Disgaea 3 Return (54,902)
According to the report, these figures are pretty much level with SCE’s current expectations for the device, which hasn’t had the easiest of rides since release.

That list just reminds me that Tales and LoA haven’t been released over here :(

how many japanese people are there? this way we can tell if that’s good or bad.
Dr_mohannad
google is telling me it’s 127 million, is it possible? too many people, so little vitas sold.

Is Persona 4 The Golden the Arena Game or is it a “proper” Persona title?
Izorpo
It’s Persona 4 – whereas Persona Arena is the fighting game

The price is still a slight turn off for some I’m guessing… tbh it’s a turn off for me too. Hoping it’ll drop by the holidays.
