“Picross e” Lands On European 3DS Consoles This Week

Picross on the original Nintendo DS was a massive time-sink, providing hours, days and weeks of puzzling perfection based on the classic nonogram system. The follow-up, Picross 3D, was great too.

Jupiter, the developers of the games, are releasing a special 3DS version, dubbed Picross e, this week for European 3DS and 3DS XL owners. It’ll cost £4.50 and is apparently “even better”, according to the press release.

That seems to translate to a simplified difficulty level, at least going off the blurb, but we’ll be grabbing this as soon as it lands so we’ll let you know.

It’s odd that the game is essentially more like Picross than Picross 3D given the format (check the video above) but for that bargain price it’s hard to complain.
