Nintendo have just announced that Bayonetta 2, which will be developed by Platinum and published by Nintendo themselves, will be exclusive to Wii U.
The first Bayonetta was a brilliant third person adventure/brawler, and it looks like the original development team will be behind this sequel.
Details of the Wii U’s 2012 release were just announced in the last hour.

So Will U get Bayonetta 2 from Platinum Games and PS3/360 get Metal Gear Rising from Platinum Games. Hmmm…. what would most prefer?

I’d much rather have Bayonetta 2, but I’m probably not going to bother with a Wii U as I hardly use my Wii as it is.

put like that it would be Metal Gear Rising.

Same here, i would rather have Metal Gear Rising.

Yay! And damm! I enjoyed the first one and would even say that it’s a spirtual successor to DMC1-4. Hopefully tis a timed exclusive otherwise i will be a bit annoyed and Ninty has an exclusive that is not a Mario, Zelda or one of their decades old icon game!? :O *world ends*
Also, a hack and slash game is not really suited to touchscreen or motion controls due to the fast paced nature. That said, Sega are taking a bit of a risk because if the Wii U is a massive flop, then they would end up regretting signing a deal with Ninty. On the plus side, it’s not a Mircosoft exclusive. Don’t blame them for buying exclusives but just sick of seeing exclusive 3rd party games and DLC.

Not interested in Bayonetta, didn’t enjoy the first one.
It’s the exclusivity of Rayman is what makes me interested in a Wii U.
Out of my price range though, it’s too late in this generation to be anything other than a secondary console and I’d prefer to get at the 360 library rather than this.
Too expensive too.

So, i suppose we will get Bayonetta Gaiden II for the PS3 or some such thing

Never played the first one, but this really isn’t enough to sell the wii u on me. I am about to order a current wii though, as I need some Mario and it’s really cheap now.

Bayonetta wasn’t exactly a big seller on 360/ps3 so how many do they hope to sell on wii-u?
But then again it’s how many wii-u’s this game will sell :)

REALLY hop this is a timed exclusive. But what a way to push a few units… or not.

Take THAT people who boght the 1rst game and asked for a sequel!…
I don’t understand what PlatG is thinking here.
The game got released on Non-nintendo consoles, yet the sequel is being released exclusivelly on a nintendo console…
The target audience for a sequel is mostly the people who played and liked the first game. Yet Plat is releasing it on a console that has nothing to do with the consoles that got the game before, and most likelly die in a few years like the dreamcast did since it’s being made for the current generation at the door step of the next one!
I’m expecting another Code Veronica here…

Well, what a silly decision. As some have already mentioned, releasing a sequel to game which was asked for by quite a few, but on a system they don’t have…. That must have been one strange meeting to be in
