I get that continental Europe can have its quirks, but this advert, found in a French magazine, really redefines the word ‘quirky’.
Advertising the PS Vita (although you’d need to look for it) this is Sony going back to those crazy pre-launch PS3 adverts, where apparently it’s not important to talk about games.
Yes, the PS Vita’s got two touch screens. But how many (good) games actually make use of that? And who really cares if it does?
This is a console that, in the right hands, is capable of console-level visuals and deep, complex gameplay as well as a multitude of PS Mobile, PSP and various media capabilities. Instead, SCEE fire off an advert showing little more than a woman with four breasts.
It doesn’t work for me, and as objectively as I can, I can’t see how this is effectively going to get non-Vita owners interested in the system. But then I’m British, and this clearly isn’t aimed at me…

Different, but still crap.
TSBonyman
it works for me – the pic i mean, not the advert. :)
hazelam
am i the only person who finds that a little disturbing.
not that they’re using sex to sell gaming, because that’s old news, but the image itself.
Kennykazey
I belive that’s part of the idea, it makes you go “What?… oh, huh.”, and now you’re aware of the Vita, atleast to a slight extent.
hazelam
i get that, it’s still a disturbing image though.
Kennykazey
This is cleary just one of those ads that tries to make the reader curious. It’s not about directly selling the system as much as it is about making the reader aware of it. This is a poorly done one, but an amusing one atleast.

TITS you can never have enough tits………that it am done that is all I can think about now.

Wonder how many teraflops are needed for the breast physics.
Kennykazey
Don’t give Team Ninja any ideas….
hazelam
i was thinking, i hope they don’t see this.

What can I say? It works for me.
“You love stroking it on the front, now you can stroke it on the back as well for the double amount of satisfaction – without moving your arms”.
I don’t know if I’m representative for the average Norwegian demographic, but there you go.
Nickboss1
Now thats my kinda woman :)
ron_mcphatty
I reckon a better ad would have been a woman groping another woman’s breast with one hand and arse with the other, thusly highlighting the front and back touch surfaces, completely avoiding sexism, being inclusive of the gay gamer and appealing to the pervy French digital entertainment enthusiast. Perfect PR, I should be in charge!
Paulo Vinicius Radtke
LOL, Sony should hire you. At least the polemical appeal would get everyone’s attention to the Vita :).

I’m glad that Sony didn’t dictate evolution, otherwise things would be getting weird between 4 walls.
