CD Projekt Red has just made its development toolkit, used to make The Witcher 2, available from its website. It’s currently in open beta but the entire toolkit is freely downloadable here.
The tools are called REDkit and they’re aimed at making it relatively simple for modders of all skill levels to create or adapt everything they could want to. This is the same tools that CD Projekt Red used when they created The Witcher 2 and studio Boss, Adam Badowski, sees it as giving back to the game’s fans, “Our fans have helped us for years to make our games the best they can be, and REDkit is part of embracing our community as a partner in game development.”
The trailer above shows what’s possible with the tools and there’s a brief introduction to them on the website.

Great fanservice. Hopefully we’ll see some silly mods. Can’t wait to see more of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 (hopefully both on the PS4! Ninja appearance at Sony’s E3 conference?).

The Witcher 3 is confirmed for PS4, I don’t see why Cyberpunk wouldn’t be. I can’t wait for both games.

Thats really cool. Can’t wait to see what people manage to create out of this.

CDProject seem like really cool developers, I do hope that there’s a Witcher Collection of the first two games on PS4 as the previous games didn’t appear on Playstation systems. :)
Will be interesting to see what stuff people make with this, you’ll get the usual trainwreaks but when something amazing pops up…oh yeah.
