The video above is an exaggeration, of course, but it sums up the lasting impression from Microsoft’s bumbled reveal of the Xbox One. E3, however, will be all about the games.
“I can confirm that we will have TV’s (or similar) on stage to show the games,” said Microsoft’s Larry Hryb today when quizzed about the press conference content.
“That should be the extent of TV talk.”
Microsoft’s press conference is 90 minutes. We’re sending Peter and Kris in for the full thing, so if Major Nelson’s lying we’ll be mildly discontented to say the least.
In related news, US journalist Geoff Keighley has teased that this year’s pre-E3 conferences will be the “strongest in years” and promises “lots of games and suprises.”

Quantum Break was a new property, and I’ve no doubt that both MS and Sony will be showing new IPs at this show.

Difference is Sony got Killzone and Infamous out the way and showed off New I.P at there reveal event, Drive club looks amazing for me.
Quantum Break showed a wired kid touch an ear and a boat crash hardly enough for me to get excited about.
But never the less i am excited for E3, MS have promised games so i will be watching!

Killzone and inFamous will feature as heavily at Sony’s presser as Forza and maybe Halo will at MS’.
There’s plenty of time for them to talk about the new IPs, which they have catagorically stated are coming to the X1.

for me the whole tv focus of the reveal made it boring, not something i was especially bothered about.
though i do think maybe ms misjudged who was going to be most interested in the reveal.
did they not realise it would be mostly gamers watching.
anyway, i have no doubt ms will have some decent games to show, and some dross kinect games no doubt.
but it won’t matter if they do go with that anti preowned fee/lockout nonsense.
but i’ll be watching nonetheless.

So it’s only going to take MS 90 minutes to kill off SONY then??? It’s taken then 2 failed Gens(about 10 years then, maybe?) so far for them(i.e PS Brand out sold them this Gen & last Gen) so god knows how they can do it all in 90 minutes. Good luck with that then! LoL:D

Also MS, if your serious about us gamers, that Freelancer sequel you canned on 360, now if you brought that back to life, but on Xbox One, you’d colour me interested.
But no, i fear your going to give me 90 mins of more Halo, more Halo MP, Halo II HD Remake, Kinect II crap, Forza what ever, COD, COD DLC, GTA whatever, GTA whatever DLC and some exclusive gubbins from E.A, Milo, Kate, Bill and Ben and you’ll probably say you’ve learnt huge lessons from Xbox and 360 struggles (because we don’t use the F-word, failure is bad, ok?) in Japan and this time you’ll kill Sony yadda yadda.

The only thing I’m really looking forward to from the Xbox conference is COD Ghosts gameplay.
I think we’re going to see a lot of apologising and hopefully some clarification about the always online, always watching and pre-owned issues, followed by some Kinnect games that use horrible actors attempting to mime along with the pre-shot footage.

It’ll be interesting to see the Halo v Killzone battle unfolds and hopefully show the real differences in hardware as I think we all know COD will look the same on both. Now Bungie are on team Playstation too, I feel we’ll get the best of both worlds. 10 dayzzzz
