The video above is an exaggeration, of course, but it sums up the lasting impression from Microsoft’s bumbled reveal of the Xbox One. E3, however, will be all about the games.
“I can confirm that we will have TV’s (or similar) on stage to show the games,” said Microsoft’s Larry Hryb today when quizzed about the press conference content.
“That should be the extent of TV talk.”
Microsoft’s press conference is 90 minutes. We’re sending Peter and Kris in for the full thing, so if Major Nelson’s lying we’ll be mildly discontented to say the least.
In related news, US journalist Geoff Keighley has teased that this year’s pre-E3 conferences will be the “strongest in years” and promises “lots of games and suprises.”
10 days. We’re nearly there.

As my sister said last night, “The XBox 360 is 359 better than the XBox One, but the PS4 is one and third better than the PS3, so I think he (her boyfriend) should get a PS4.” Well done sis, perfect logic, in my opinion. Fuelled by alcohol of course…

As I’ll be getting a PS4 I’m not too interested in what Microsoft have up their sleeves. But in saying that, all I would like to see from Microsoft is some healthy competition for Sony, as competition is a good thing……..or so they say. ;)

Just roll out the games Microsoft and show me why I’ve got to buy your console, the TV stuff is lost on me but a load of great games will win me over. I’d like to just buy one machine but I will sell a kidney if the other alternative is worth it as well.
I’m also suprised Sony haven’t promoted Play TV more saying. “PS3, it only does TV, already!”
