As in the plant is exploding, not that it’s a plant that makes exploding gas.

Patrice Desilets has said that 1666, a project that is currently in Ubisoft legal limbo, “was to be the new Assassin’s Creed.”

Anyone want yet another Assassin’s Creed? No? Probably for the best then.

Lots of trailers to get through today, who knew there was a tie in game for Pacific Rim?

The fast approaching next gen machines have been built so it’s easy to port code from PC games, right? Not according to Bethesda.

“It’s really not easy, but it’s certainly much easier. I’m not trying to insult Sony or Microsoft, but they’re high-end PCs, the way they’re architectured.”

It appears they are also having problems getting the three systems to talk to each for cross-platform game play.

“They don’t all play with each other. PC and Mac play together, but Xbox One is its own thing and PS4 is its own thing. The whole cross-platform thing is just a nightmare.”

A new trailer for Snatch favourite, Farming Simulator! Woohoo!

PlayStation Lifestyle have spotted a listing for Injustice: Gods Among Us for PlayStation Vita, specifically a “Game Of The Year” edition (really?) with lots of DLC.

Top story of the day: Sprinty fast chap, Usain Bolt, was asked if he would be buying a PlayStation 4 or a Xbox One. “PS4. I’m a PS fan, definitely,” he said.

A story trailer for Alien Rage which is coming to consoles as a downloadable title this September.

Patch Snatch: Hotline Miami will be getting tweaked on PlayStation and will fix some bugs and trophy problems.

Gamestop have sold out of their “unlimited” pre-order supplies for PlayStation 4. They are still taking orders for the Xbox One, of which they had very limited quantities.

Nolan North is a busy man, not content with voicing pretty much every male video game he can ever he is now providing the voice for a female in Saints Row IV.

Meanwhile Saint Row IV design director, Scott Phillips, has said the forthcoming game will end the current story arc.

“We’re definitely considering Saints Row 4 sort of the end of that saga of this character and the Saints as they are,” he explained.

“So if there’s any more future Saints Rows – which you know we always hope there will be, we hope there’s fans for future games like that – they will probably continue in a different direction.”

And Finally, PlayStation 4 vs Xbox One the musical. Yes, really.

  1. Wow, a lot of WTF moments there. Nolan North voicing female characters?

Also, I remember the Burnout Paradise team explaining on their podcast that they had to put specific code into that game to prevent cross platform games accidentally connecting when they were testing. Surely it can’t be that hard to achieve then!

  2. The Musical sucks, should end with: “Playing on PC is gay” or something like that.

      • Oh no! Its set in the Eighties…

      • Did not know that a musical about PC gaming exists, although the poster looks like it could be about mobile stuff as well.

      • Not as long as some musicals

      • Is that from the IT crowd?

    • Kindly do not use the word “Gay” as an insult. If you continue to do so I will be round your house and bumfuck some sense in to you.

      • ohh! u don’t want to mess with TC when he is on his Bumfuck-mode!

        i know, cause i’m a survivor….

      • Who said I used it as an insult. Just kindly compared it to males kissing each other, holding hands and dancing in tights as in the musical. Isn’t this “lovely”? But, point taken, will think of something less controversial next time.

      • Shagging women is for poofs!

      • that would explain the gravatar pic MJB. ^_^

    • I just wasted a few GB on that crap. I don’t mind camp but that is truly terrible.

  3. That musical :)

  4. Sorry to inject a note of seriousness in the humour here, but why does this myth still persist about playing not being able to play PC games on the TV? It’s stupid.
Anyway if playing on PC gets that girl then it’s all good! :)

    • Ignore the extraneous “playing” in that comment, must have been thinking about other things :) :)

  5. West Side Story parody was jokes! Cheers!

  6. Any news on if UK retailers have sold out their unlimited pre-orders?

  7. An interesting snatch. Who indeed knew about the Pacific Rimjob game? It looks fucking awful and reminds me of the crap Transformers movie spinoff game, which my poor nephew got bought for his Wii. Don’t buy it peeps, buy an old PS2 instead and get Transformers by Atari, or Shadow Of The Colossus! Anyone seen the Pacific Rim film yet?

    • i knew about it, and i had a pretty good idea it was going to be shite.

it was being made by Yukes, the last game i know they made was the Real Steel tie in.
      which was awful.

and the movie comes out, in the uk at least, on friday, but i’ll be at the first showing in my local cinema.

      • Let us know what you think of it dude! I’m looking forward to it, but getting prepared to be a bit disappointed by excessive yank glory.

  8. Cross Platform gaming? I’ve abandoned the Xbox camp and per-ordered the PS4 so I can avoid 99% of Xbox LIVE’s gamers.
