Rockstar Reveal The First Of GTA V’s Online Social Features – Crew Hierarchies

Rockstar have just announced the first of their Social Club features for GTA V’s online portion. Described as Crew Hierarchies, these allow you to arrange management within crews right now, ahead of GTA Online’s release on the first of October.

[drop2]If you’re a Crew Leader, then you’re able to assign special ranks to players, while default players will be muscle. The ranks are as follows:

Commissioners: The Crew’s most trusted member(s) – that essential right-hand man or woman that the Leader relies on for Vice Presidential advisement and executive action. Commissioners have the power to manage and administrate all aspects of the Crew on behalf of the Leader, including the ability to promote members internally or invite new members in.

Lieutenants: Made members with specific privileges to keep the Crew in check and hand out promotions or demotions amongst sub-ordinate ranks. Crew Representatives and the mob of Muscle would be wise to keep their Lieutenants (and above) sweet.

Representatives: A tier of Crew members who have shown and proved their commitment to the clique – whether with ace performance in competitive modes, or just by rocking their Crew’s emblem faithfully since day one. Crew Leaders can assign these special players as Representatives who will have basic permissions to aid recruitment efforts.

Muscle: The rank-and-file mob of Crew members who are happy to play their position of causing some havoc Online, doing their Crew’s emblem justice and fighting for its good name. Muscle-level members may not have nor want any administrative power but they’re often the heart and soul of what makes your Crew fearsome. Ambitious Muscle who are looking to prove themselves to the Crew Leader and rise up the ranks may even prove a threat to their Crew superiors, if any are deemed to be slacking on their responsibilities or performance.

You’re able to assign as many members as you want to each tier, so you can be as organised or as disorganised as you like. It certainly sounds like a nice feature, and I’ll have to look into creating a TSA crew before the game launches.

The Social Club itself has also had a bit of a makeover, with a new design and crew colours across the board. It seems as though they’ve put a lot of work into the service, and are really trying to make some brilliant features ahead of GTA V’s release.

Remember, there’s a new GTA V trailer coming at some point tomorrow – The Official Trailer.

  1. Yup… put me down as TSA muscle… fancy working my way through the ranks.

    • I feel the same way except I get an odd sense of wanting to be like Bentley the turtle off Sly Cooper and work the technical side of heists and such. Bentley DLC coming this Holiday Season.

  2. Eager to become a don of Los Santos I’ve imagined up The Sick Waxes! Clever eh? Search me up and join the family. I’ve always wanted to start a family, ahhhh :)

  3. Well, she must be a right tramp! ;-)

  5. 2 new crews to choose from already, plus the crew set-up on MaxP3.
Are we going for multiple tsa crews, or one (300 max i believe,) to take on other sites?

    • Forgot only 16 in a lobby lol. I guess it depends how many crew members can take on heists, races, tdm etc. Multiple crews would work in meets, but so would 16 if possible. Can multiple crews work together in activities?
