There’s a new compulsory Vita firmware out, which is designed to fix some security exploits within the ‘Arcade’ PSN titles. It doesn’t appear to bring anything else, serving only to stop hackers and homebrewers from exploiting those games and running their own code on the system.
You’ll need to install the firmware if you want to access services such as the PSN, and the games – Arcade Darts, Arcade Pool and World of Pool – might take some time off from the store, as has happened in the past.

I just got my Vita yesterday. Had to download an update but it wasn’t for this. Has this just come out today?
