Namco Bandai Games have taken a new approach to beta testing by releasing a closed beta registration ticket on the PlayStation store.

Once you have downloaded the ticket you may be chosen to participate in the beta and will receive notice of how to take part. It should be noted that downloading the ticket does not guarantee entry to the test environment.

The beta, which is open to players in Europe, North America and Australia, will begin on 12th October with a second phase starting on 27th October.

The story of Dark Souls II will revolve around a cursed character trying to find a cure for his agony, obviously chemists and stocks of Anadin are few and far between in the Dark Souls world.

Namco Bandai has confirmed that Dark Souls 2 will be released on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

  1. Just registered. Hoping to get into this Beta for once!

  2. I’m defo registering

  3. DO you actually have to download the item to your PS3 (would be strange) or is buying it = registering ?

    • Your ‘buying it’ is registering in this case then you’ll get an e-mail, at some stage, confirming whether you are in or not.

      • Thanks, I got confused coz the news says: “Once you have downloaded the ticket you may be chosen to participate in the beta and will receive notice of how to take part. It should be noted that downloading the ticket does not guarantee entry to the test environment.” – and there’s “downloading” said two times.

  4. I’m all signed up – I seem to be playing a lot of betas at the moment so hopefully this’ll be the next (and will erase the memory of Ridge Racer: Driftopia’s beta)
