EA have announced an open beta for Battlefield 4 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, and it will launch on October 1st, a month before the game hits the shelves.
They also revealed the dates for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Battlefield 4 and two other titles, Madden NFL 25 and FIFA 14. All three next-gen titles will launch on the same day, November 19th (North America) and November 21st (Europe) for Xbox One and November 12th (North America) and November 29th (Europe) for PlayStation 4.
Any content of loot obtained on current gen versions of the games can be carried forward to the next-gen versions.

21st Nov for Europe? That’s a week before the PS4 is out. Nice one.
Looking forward to the open beta (demo)

ah read that wrong, so its a week earlier on Xbox One than the PS4. I guess the console it out earlier so thats fair enough. So it will be on the 29th.

They’ll all be hitting day one for next gen consoles, across the industry. So for Ubisoft, Watch Dogs will be out on PS4 in the US half a week before any other platform or region, here we have this split between the various release dates.

Open beta? So you don’t have to have pre-ordered BF4 to get it? If so, awesome!
Bilbo_bobbins
For those who bought MOH or pre-ordered BF4 through Origin have a closed beta for about 4 days before the start of the open beta, to everyone.

It was revealed that those who pre-ordered Medal of Honor: Warfighter would gain exclusive access to the Battlefield 4 Beta. DICE later announced that those who had pre-ordered the Battlefield Digital Deluxe edition, or were Battlefield Premium members, would also have access to the beta.
The beta will become available for pre-download on September 28, 2013 with the exclusive beta then starting on October 1, 2013. It will then be available to everyone else on October 4, 2013 and ending on October 15, 2013. The map that will be featured in the beta is Siege of Shanghai on Conquest.[2]

Thanks for the info!

Woohoo!
I’m looking forward to falling into sink holes and getting stuck on walls. As well as downloading 2GB patches.
Cynicism aside, the last two; BF3 and MoH Betas had little bearing because EA released the game with bugs anyway.
