So, The Last Guardian is still happening then. After a lot of dodging the subject from Sony, Amazon.de have listed the game along with some new screenshots, confirming that there has been some progress in development.
What we thought were new screenshots appear to be old, however, and certainly don’t represent the PS4 version – it’s a PS3 box they’ve listed. Maybe they’re just hopeful as everyone is, or they’ve just been going by what Sony have said about the game still being in development.
Personally, I don’t really care about The Last Guardian – there are plenty more games to get excited about and at this point it’s never going to live up to the hype everyone’s generated. Rime, though? Let me have that.

TLG has definitely fallen off the dizzy heights of the hype cliffs and into the rocky bay of public ambivalence. I’m still excited but it’s probably more the teasing that I’m enjoying rather than the idea of the actual game, which we’ve learned so little about in the last two years. Having said all that, t’ll probably turn out very good.
