Grand Theft Auto V will almost certainly get some form of DLC, I’d bet money on it, but Rockstar are yet to announce any firm details regarding new adventures for Trevor, Michael and Franklin.
However over at the GTAForums user theNGclan may have stumbled upon the first clues as to where Rockstar will base some DLC, with the term NY_DLC found in the code of the recent update. In relation to GTA V NY is likely to relate to North Yankton, where the opening of the game takes place.
North Yankton is a fictional state in GTA’s version of the Midwest, so it could be possible that the DLC could be quite a large addition, or set around the small town of Ludendorff, which features in the game. That is if this DLC exists in some form.
Another bit of interesting code is “BS_Niko,” which could hint at the return of GTA IV’s protagonist within GTA V. He is mentioned briefly during one heist cutscene, though not by name. It’d definitely be interesting to see what happened to Niko post the events of GTA IV.
Rockstar are unlikely to comment on this discovery but we’ll get in contact and see if they’ll hint at anything.

I would be surprised if Niko didn’t return in some form and North Yankton makes sense as DLC since they must have built at least some of it for those scenes.

He’s mentioned in a cut scene where they’re talking about greed.
The actor who portrayed Niko complained and asked for more money when GTA IV did so well (he “only” got ~$100,000). They’re basically taking a stab at him.
I really doubt we’ll be seeing an appearance from him, unless it’s with a different voice actor…

I caught Niko being mentioned two times in GTAV, and one of the times by name, if my memory serves me right.
Both times during a heist mission, I think.

Really hope for some DLC before too long, be it with Niko or TFM.
Any SP DLC would be welcome, actually – even if it were with completely unrelated characters :)

He is mentioned by name in one of the heists by Packie McCreary. Obviously you need him as part of your crew for that heist to hear it :-)

There’s gotta be some Grove Street dlc. Turf wars were wicked in San Andreas. There wasn’t anywhere near enough South Central/Gang Banging/Street Thug shit in the main story. I thought that would be one of the main themes when the location was announced.

It was good but got annoying when your turf was constantly under attack and you had to drop what you were doing to go defend it. Was San Andreas’ bowling with Roman imo.
The gang attacks in GTA Online are good so more of them would be fine

If you play as Michael and go to his house, if Jimmy’s in the dining room whilst on his laptop, get the sniper and zoom in to his screen. Jimmy will be on Niko’s LifeInvader page. I don’t know if this is a subtle hint or pure coincidence.
