The Walking Dead Season 2 Reveal Trailer Doesn’t Reveal Very Much

The Walking Dead game was a brilliant tale, cementing Telltale as one of the best story-driven game developers around, which they recently replicated with the first episode of their take on the Fables comic book series with The Wolf Among Us.

Now, they’re heading back to the zombie-infested world and Clementine’s story with Season 2, hopefully picking up some story threads from the bonus 400 Days episode, too.

There isn’t very much new in the above reveal trailer, but they tease that Clementine will return. “Left to fend for herself, she has been forced to learn how to survive in a world gone mad.”

Many months have passed since the events seen in Season One of The Walking Dead, and Clementine is searching for safety. But what can an ordinary child do to stay alive when the living can be just as bad — and sometimes worse — than the dead?

As Clementine, you will be tested by situations and dilemmas that will test your morals and your instinct for survival. Your decisions and actions will change the story around you.

So, you play as Clementine, which is really interesting for a start. They’ve also revealed that decisions made in the first season and 400 Days will carry over (but if it’s coming to PS4? How will that work?) and the experience will be tailored to your choices once again.

The game will premiere later this year, with Telltale having interactive episodic content firmly in their hands. More of that from other developers, please.

Season 2 will launch on PS3, Xbox 360, PC/Mac and iOS.
