Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Release Date Announced

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze will launch in America on the 21st of February next year. It suffered a bit of a delay as it was initially supposed to release this month, but they’re on track to make the game as good as possible.

Cranky Kong has also been announced as a playable character, and he’ll be able to do a pogo move much like you can in DuckTales. That means the full roster of characters will be Donkey, Diddy, Dixie and Cranky Kong.

We’ve played the game, and it’s a real blast in co-op, and definitely one to watch if you enjoy platforming games. You can read our full preview here.

  1. I’ll most likely get this, the demo they showed at VGX looked great. I do think nintendo missed a trick not showing some smash bros or keeping fans in the loop about zelda etc, they need to work on their PR imo – they are awful in building excitement about their product… something they need to do if the WiiU is going to improve its sales.
