Tomb Raider Definitive Edition Confirmed For PS4 & Xbox One

Following on from the post earlier tonight Crystal Dynamics has announced that Tomb Raider Definitive Edition will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One on January 28th 2014. The remake was co-developed between United Front and Crystal Dynamics.

During the post trailer interview, in which everyone kept saying Laura instead of Lara, it was also confirmed the game would not support 3D.

    • edit – Just a warning for anyone yet to play it, that trailer has massive spoilers. Like, final boss massive.

This does look the same though, hopefully there’ll be a calmer trailer showing what’s changed.

  2. Crikey, bit voilent!

Missed this the first time round, so will do nicely to bridge the gap on my PS4 until DriveClub and Infamous.

  3. On the one hand, I’ve already bought this twice (on PS3 and Steam). And it’s not about to get cheaper.

It’s great, but not Uncharted level great.

On the other hand… It’ll be the best game on PS4 when it releases.

    Hmmm… Decisions.

  4. I bloody love this game easily easily one of my favourite games of last gen,and i actually think i may be getting it again come January :)

  5. Remake? So there’s more to it than just better graphics?

  6. Borrowed this from a friend and played it through quite quickly but would love to have another crack at it especially in full HD nice timing too think I may well be through Ghosts and ACIV by then.

  7. I adored this game first time around, but, what’s new? If it’s just a spit and polish I really don’t see the appeal, the PS3/360 versions looked lovely already.

  8. This one passed me by on 360 so might give this a go on the PS4 if it gets good reviews.
