Ah, Valentines Day. The day where everything’s pink and covered in hearts, where loved-up couples rejoice and single people despise them. The most happy day of the year, and certainly not a day to be spent either a) playing video games or b) exploring extremely bleak storytelling with an add-on for one of last year’s most important story-centric experiences.
Who am I kidding? It’s just another day, but now it’s a special day for fans of The Last of Us, as the story-based DLC – Left Behind – which sees Ellie and her friend Riley explore an infected, run-down mall will release on February 14th according to PSN store listings found by CVG.
So it’s actually a day that you’ll be cheating on your newest love, instead returning to your ex – the PlayStation 3 – and probably showering her with money and playtime. $14.99, to be precise, and probably a good few hours at least. It’s going to be fun.
And then you’ll return to your PS4, and realise that it’ll probably be a few more years before she’s ready to settle down and offer anything as engaging or developed as The Last of Us, but you’ll stick with her anyway, as she’s much prettier, healthier and – I’m not sure why this is a good thing – all of your friends are on her too.
So, February 14th will be a nice little fling to break the tedium of your new relationship. It’s not cheating, it’s really okay, but it’ll probably cost you a bit. Just don’t let the PS4 hear about it.
UPDATE:Â Naughty Dog has confirmed that you’ll be spending February 14th with your PS3.

Looking forward to this and you’re right, will mean firing up the PS3 for the first time in a while!

As a serial singleton, I don’t think I’ve ever looked forward to Valentine’s Day quite so much- the only problem will be finding the time to both play this DLC and to watch House of Cards Season Two, also out on the same, now much anticipated day. :)

Well that’s a bloody stupid idea. “Hey Honey, mind if we postpone dinner out, I want to play The Last of Us DLC, since I’ve waited so long for it’s release?” Pretty sure I know the answer to that one!

“The most happy day of the year”
Give “happiest” a go, fella. Not too archaic, I hope. ;-)
All piss-taking aside, is this standalone DLC or do we need the old (main) disc?
Blair Inglis
Either is fine. Most happiest would be wrong though :)
You need a copy of the full game.

Well other then the police.

And no doubt a fair amount of tears.
Hey TSA, what’s your birth sign?
Blair Inglis
Unfortunately we’re a large group of writers so our birth sign would have to be a combination of all of them.
boeboe
That’s ok, as long as its one at a time!

Im bored with my new love anyway as she doesn’t have anything new to offer!
