I think Titanfall looks fantastic. I don’t even like online shooters, I always get frustrated at how quickly and easily I fall into that endless spawn-die cycle that just makes me want to throw the whole lot out of the nearest window. But Titanfall looks somehow different.
Maybe it’s the jet packs, the wallrunning or the general feeling that it’s all quite busy without being too dangerous all the time. Or maybe it’s the gargantuan mechs. It’s probably the mechs, isn’t it?
Anyway, they’re having a limited, closed, trial at the moment and it appears that a load of footage has leaked out from it, showing the game in all its glory.

That’s the third video, if you follow it through to the DailyMotion channel it’s on, you’ll find a couple more. It’s all looking like it’ll be quite a lot of fun, hopefully there will be a more accessible beta for the game before release later this year.

Fingers crossed this ends up being /the/ reason to own an Xbox One. I’ve been very disappointed with my console thus far, but Titanfall seems to be the light at the end of the tunnel.
