Titanfall Beta Sign Up Site Is Now Live, Starts February 14th

After weeks of teasing, the sign up site for the Titanfall Beta on Xbox One and PC will finally be going live tonight at 6PM PST. Translating that to more local time, that’s 2AM in the UK and 3AM for mainland Europeans.

Tonight at 6pm PST there will be a website to sign up for #titanfall beta access. The website will be announced shortly before 6.

Unfortunately, there’s not too much more to go on than that and lips have remained sealed on topics such as the start date and duration of the beta, which we will doubtless learn when the site goes live.

One thing we do know is that it’s not and open beta. Also, with limited numbers it thankfully won’t be handled on a first come, first serve basis. Anyone that signs up will have a chance to get in on the action, which means that us Europeans can safely go and get some kip before filling out the form in the morning, when the Americans have gone to bed and stopped unintentionally pulling a DDOS on the site.

Clever Europeans. That’s the kind of thing that makes us such good movie villains.

I, however, am not so smart. I’ll be staying up until 2AM to update this post with all the beta details.

Update: The Titanfall Beta sign up site is now live, which someone used their Sherlock-esque deductive powers to gain access to ahead of time. OK, so it was a pretty easy to guess that would probably just stick “beta” on the end of the URL, but even so.

Loading up the page, you are able to apply for both PC and Xbox One access, with the former requiring that you log into Origin account and the latter presenting a page for you to put in your email address and some other details. As stated in the original post, this is not on a first come, first serve basis, so there’s no big rush.

The page stresses that places in the beta are limited, and you will be contacted by EA with instructions on how to access the game by 23:59PM PST on Febraury 17th. At this moment there’s still no confirmation of when the actual beta will start.

Update 2: Mysteriously hidden out of sight as I type this, the beta’s FAQ can be found here. It states that you must register by 4PM PST on February 14th.

Based off this, it might be fairly safe to assume the beta will start on Friday in line with previous rumours, but there is quite amusingly still no official word on this. It’s even got Vince Zampella flummoxed!

Update 3: Aussies to the rescue, as EA Games Australia & new Zealand have posted a trailer with the start date!
