Engage In Some Foul Play As Mediatonic Brings The Brawler To PS4 & Vita

Mediatonic Games has announced that side-scrolling brawler, Foul Play, will be released on PS4 and Vita. The game originally released on Steam and Xbox 360 in September. There’s currently no release date but if prices are similar to the other platforms then it looks like the cost could be £9.99, and for that approximate price you’ll get both Vita and PS4 versions as Foul Play will be cross buy. Mediatonic are saying it will run at 60FPS and 1080p on PS4.

The plot of Foul Play casts the player as Baron Dashforth, a Victorian Daemonologist, who has decided to recreate his adventures in a theatre show. So instead of actually fighting demons the Baron fights extras who are dressed up as the beasts. There’s also no life bar as it has been replaced by a Mood O’ Meter, which basically shows how entertained the audience is. If the audience doesn’t like what they see then you get booed off stage, which will be familiar to anyone who has failed a song on a Guitar Hero game. There will be co-op play as one player can control the Baron while the other controls Mr Scampwick, who is the hero’s assistant.
