Midnight City have teamed up with Double Fine and The Fullbright Company to bring two games to console this year. The first, Costume Quest 2, is a sequel to Double Fine’s Halloween title and will feature Wren and Reynold protecting their town with a new batch of costumes.
“Whenever Halloween came around, I felt like something was missing. No matter how many pumpkins I carved, apples I bobbed, or candy I ate, it just couldn’t fill the big spooky hole inside of me. But then I realized what was missing: I needed more Costume Quest.” said Tim Schafer of Double Fine on the sequel.
They’ll also be working with The Fullbright Company to bring their brilliant narrative-driven adventure game to consoles. Gone Home is absolutely amazing, and experience which you cannot miss if you’re a fan of a good story, pacing in a game. It’s not the most impressive in terms of gameplay, but it’s definitely engaging. You can read about what the game meant to me here, or see the trailer below.
Steve Gaynor, the writer and designer of the game said: “Ever since we released Gone Home on PC, we’ve had people asking us– ‘When’s it coming to console?'”. Well, now it is.
Exactly which consoles these titles will release on has not yet been disclosed, but I’d assume they’re talking about new generation systems at the very least.
