We don’t usually report on Kickstarters as there are so many of them these days, but I am making a special exception for Bear Simulator.
Apart from the obvious reason, Bear Simulator has one of the funniest Kickstarter pages I have seen and the game itself looks pretty darn good.
“It’s quite clear the fat cats in Washington with their stove top hats and contemporary jazz music don’t want us playing as bears, it’s about time to fight back against the tyranny,” explains John, the sole member of Farjay Studios. “You can’t honestly tell me you’ve never secretly wanted to be a bear wandering around the forest. That’s just an outright lie.”
As a bear you will do bear things including “exploring, eating fish and plants, striking down anything that dare stand before your might, increasing your stats, sleeping and discovering mysteries of your forest home.”
Set over multiple areas the game will feature events, “Mysterious Beings” (powerful, fictional creatures), plenty of animals including mountain goats, and a “quest that will explore the mysterious heritage of bears with a storyline so compelling it will win several Oscars including Best Lead Actor.”
There is also the possibility of a multiplayer version of the game which could be the most awesome thing ever.
