Titanfall has had a successful launch reaching number one in the UK sales chart and helping to increase sales of the Xbox One by 96%, though we don’t know the exact figures for that. It’s proved to be popular with some of the staff here too, though I’m personally yet to try it out. However if you’re waiting for the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall to drop then you will have to wait a little bit longer, with the game falling onto shelves on April 8th in North America and April 11th in Europe.
Posting on the EA blog Patrick Söderlund, EVP of EA Studios, said that Bluepoint Games just needs a little bit more time to deliver “an epic Titanfall experience”, for those who will be getting the game on Xbox 360. Content wise this version of Titanfall will not differ from the Xbox One and PC versions as it will contain the same game modes, gameplay, 6v6 matches, maps, weapons and Burn Cards. It’ll be interesting to see how the versions compare side by side when the 360 version is launched.
If you haven’t already then you can read Stefan’s review of Titanfall here, and his views on what was missing in terms of the plot’s execution.

Really enjoying this on X1. Bluepoint have have done some good ports in the past so it should be worth the extra wait.

Game is really starting to grow on me. Its not until you fire up COD Ghosts and BF4 that you realise how balanced Titanfall really is.
Starman
I was just thinking how well balanced it is. They got the mix pretty much spot on.

Somebody actually said the smartest thing EA and MS could do would be delay this for the 360. Try and get the impatiant people to give up and just by the xBox One. Wonder if that tactic would actually work though.
Andrewww
That’s what I thought when I read the headline. If I were MS, I’d delay this for months rather than weeks, given it’s a system seller for the XBone.
Scythegpd
In all fairness that’s a reasonable tactic, makes sense to try push the XB1 especially when they’re so readily available (at least in Edn and Ncl).
Only thing is now Infamous has some breathing space instead of being sandwiched between the TF XB1/XB360 narrow release dates so if that turns out to be a cracker it could backfire (i.e. the impatient get that instead).
However I’m highly concerned about the game considering it’s now Wednesday evening and the review embargo still applies. If they are expecting it to score highly and receive massive praise I’d have thought they’d want the reviews out ASAP to take the shine off the TF launch. So that makes me concerned about the game. I expect at best a 5 or 7 from polygon however not sure what the more reputable sites are going to score it and an embargo so close to launch sets my spider-sense tingling …

Something about this 360 port seems fishy to me. I’m not quite sure why, but the rumours, delays and general silence about the port doesn’t fill me with confidence…

Obviously Xbox One sales of the game aren’t high enough, so they delay this version which they’ve done no marketing for and pretend doesn’t exist just so the game can push more Xbox Ones. There is nothing major they could fix within two weeks.
Quite a sly tactic if I’m honest.
JR.
I dont think Microsoft are being sly. Its just not in their nature to deceive gamers this way.
yiddo
Sarcasm?
They are the damn masters of lying to their consumers and being deceitful.
Starman
Must have got some tips off the masters of lying to your customers. “we don’t know why the networks down” lol.
yiddo
Knew you’d pop up. So predictable.
I thought we was on about MS here, why feel the need to imply something towards another company when they were not even in the discussion in the first place? It seems to me you have an agenda that you are trying to push.
Hilarious. One more thing, isn’t that what MS said when the day before Titanfall launched when XBL was down for a whole day ‘we don’t know’ ;)
Starman
Ha ha you were asking for it and you did the exact same thing on a post about the ps4 firmware. You are such a hypocrite its ridiculous.
Starman
And live wasn’t down for a whole day, it was a couple of hours around 10pm. This is something you claimed a few times a while back as well. Said it was down 17 hours on x1 launch when it didnt go down for more than a few minutes. Stop lying.
yiddo
It was down a whole day before the Titanfall launch for some people. Fact. Once again this doesn’t fit your narrative so you’ll ignore it and act like it was ‘a few hours’.
And I’m the hypocrite? Bahahaha. I actually laughed out loud. Come on kid, you’re fanboyism on this site is ridiculous, as proven in this comment section alone. Bringing Sony into things when they weren’t even mentioned and when this story has NOTHING to do with them. It just screams of you being over defensive.
Scythegpd
Shouldn’t you be playing Titanfall? You seem to have spent an awful lot of time posting here over the past 2 days … perhaps said game and said console isn’t quite as engaging as you like to claim …
