Natural Doctrine For PS4, PS3 & Vita Will Be Released In North America & Europe

A few months back Natural Doctrine got some screenshots and a trailer, the same one as above, but there was no news of whether this RPG by Kadokawa Games would be available for western markets. Well IGN are reporting that for those of you who want this game and don’t inhabit Japan will be able to get your hands on, and that’s because Natural Doctrine is releasing in Europe & North America in autumn this year.

Natural Doctrine is a strategy RPG, stars a hero called Jeff, and is set in world where the city of Feste must be protected as  monsters that coming to the surface threaten it. These monsters are driven overground due to people exploring their underground lairs for the substance called Pluton. It releases in Japan this week and is Kadokawa Games’ first title. The western release will be published by NIS.

  1. Jeff, really? If they were going for most generic JRPG protagonist, then they’ve nailed the design. Trailer looks cool, and I’m a sucker for strategy RPGs, but with zero gameplay shown I’m not won over… At all.

  2. An RPG for the PS4? We need more of those.

And if NIS are going to be bringing obscure Japanese things to the PS4 as well as the PS3 and Vita, this can only be a good thing. They may get average review scores and fail to sell millions, but enough people obviously enjoy them. I frequently do.

Although yes, Jeff is a spectacularly stupid name for a hero.

  3. Sweet!
