Non-Premium Members Will Be Able To Get Battlefield 4’s Naval Strike From April 15th

DICE has announced the release date for the Naval Strike DLC for those who do not have a Premium membership as April 15th. This release will roll out across all the platforms it is available on the same day with the individual update times likely to have some affect. However, don’t rule out any chance of delay as what happened with the Xbox One and PC versions of the DLC when it launched for Premium members. While the issues affecting that launch were tackled there’s always the chance more could crop up.

DICE also took to the Battlefield Blog to discuss rubber banding issue that players are experiencing regardless of the platform they are playing on.

Looking into this further, we’re unhappy with our server performance, so we’ll be upgrading the hardware as soon as possible, investing more to deliver a better experience.

As soon as we know the exact timetable, we’ll let you know the ETA. Reducing lag for these players is absolutely a top priority for us to solve and we expect to have the solution very soon.

  1. Had an absolute blast on this tonight , only wish now that I’d bought the premium thing as I don’t want to miss out on any of the maps. Bought the China Rising one but I really want this and Second Assault now. Would have been cheaper to have got premium I think.

    • Yeah. A slight shame there’s no kind of upgrade pricing for those that bought a pack standalone but fancy switching up…

  2. I don’t want to sound like a broken record, but yet again I would love to be able to save my singleplayer progress!

I always thought the rubberbanding was just an issue with my own connection, glad to see they are upgrading their servers.

Loving my time on multiplayer when I am not dealing with my 14 week old son! You just get so many amazing moments when a gun run or tactical play pulls off really well

  3. Played on the Naval Strike maps for the first time today and can safely say it’s the only time I’ve found the multiplayer completely unplayable.
Several times the maps took a few seconds to load going into different sections, and the lag…

    • This. I’ve literally played Navel Strike once and just haven’t bothered going back.

It’s great that they are going to address it, but it’s a bit late for me. I won’t be rushing out for the next installment – that’s for sure. Which is so annoying, because when this game works, it really is one of the most fun multiplayer games ever :(
