The Last Of Us All But Confirmed For PS4 As Remastered Version Is Listed On Store

The Last of Us is coming to PS4, but we all knew that anyway. After months of speculation, and seemingly confirmation from a PlayStation VP in Turkey, The Last of Us: Remastered has appeared on the SEN Store.

You can see the above banner image on the store by clicking the link here, and it appears to be priced at $59.99, which suggests that they will be charging a full retail price again.

The game is likely to come with all of the DLC – including the excellent Left Behind single player outing and multiplayer packs – but, as the name suggests, will also be remastered, which likely means 1080p visuals running at 60 frames per second.

The prospect of getting an even better looking version of one of the best games of last generation is quite exciting indeed, and it will be interesting to see exactly what Sony have planned. We should find that out soon, anyway.

  1. Yeah, id buy this

  2. If it’s more than 35 they can go do one

  3. I’d love to get the game again but if it’s full price then I’ll wait til it’s on eBay.
    £25 is high enough for a re-release.

  4. My morals (and backlog) suggest I shouldn’t buy this, but I know I will as it’s one of my favourite games of all time so need to experience it in it’s superior form!

    • Could also be a great excuse for some TSA multiplayer meets. The multiplayer is great, yet I only had a few games with people I knew.

    • I’m the same, I swore I wouldn’t buy a remaster of a game I still own but I can still see me picking this up. Multiplayer was surprisingly good, I was expecting to be a tacked on, trophy hunting chore, but it was anything but. Look forward to pairing up with you mate ;-)

  5. Got the Ellie edition but would definitely consider this version as well.
Full price doesn’t really bother me, I’d still rather replay this game than 99% of the dross out there at the moment.

I just hope they drop the horrendous online trophies, those were a chore. I loved the multiplayer but those trophies for each faction were just a headache! If they are dropped I’ll probably and up 2 TLoU platinums.

  6. Yup, I’ll buy it again. Can’t wait :-)

  7. Hmm, I didn’t get it on PS3 so I’d be very tempted for a remaster on PS4 but £50+ sounds too pricey.

    • I’ve only just finished a second playthrough, fella. I’ll be interested to see how they can justify the new price. For my money, there’d need to be a fair old bump-up in texture quality as it’s starting to age and my PC games are eclipsing things like that.

However, everywhere else (ignoring frames per second or resolution), The Last of Us continues to utterly floor the competition.

The only thing I can say, is to get it on disc (assuming that happens) and sell it on afterwards. The retention value is sublime even now (with the PS3 version). You’d only end up a tenner down, tops!

  8. This game totally passed me by, so I’m excited to play a remastered version!

  9. I’ll get this if there’s an upgrade from PS3 available – I own the PS3 version digitally, not really keen on shelling out full price again, so I’d hope that Sony would allow us to upgrade.

    • Same here. I’ve even got the season pass. So fingers crossed.

  10. I only got about a third of the way through and lost interest. Should give it another go as so many people rate it. Maybe I will buy the PS4 version, but not at full price.
