Take this with a grain of salt, and then some, as there’s nothing which suggests this information is solid other than the extreme detail of the post, but according to an anonymous source, this is what you can expect Sony to show at E3.
It comes via DualShockers, whose source has contacts within Sony’s studios, but even then, it seems unlikely that they would know so much about each project unless it was Shuhei Yoshida himself. Parts of it were confirmed with a secondary source, and those bits are in bold. We’ve copied the list but also added our own musings at certain sections.
- Uncharted PS4 3 Minute Trailer showcasing ”In-engine” footage interspersed with gameplay segments. Visuals are supposedly unprecedented and set a benchmark for console graphics. Summer 2015 release date. It looks absolutely stellar. Features tropical setting and differing time periods with Nate/Francis.
This one seems likely, and makes sense. The fact that it looks “absolutely stellar” seems odd, as I doubt the trailer is ready a month before, and three minutes is oddly specific. But Uncharted is almost a given.
- Media Molecule’s new title will be a landmark title for Morpheus. 3D world building, beautiful, quirky visuals. Extremely creative and fun. Possibly related to the ”Entwined” trademark filed last week by SCE (not sure). Late 2015.
If anyone is big on innovation, and if anyone could use the Project Morpheus technology well, it’d be Media Molecule. And Entwined did sound like a Media Molecule game.
- Gran Turismo 6 is coming to PS4 as 1080p 60FPS repackaged title in the vein of Gran Turismo 7: Prologue. Stunning visuals, extra features (social connectivity, new tracks, dlc etc). Coming mid-late 2015.
Maybe, but it seems more likely that they’d just develop it into a fully blown Gran Turismo 7 – mid to late 2015 seems too long away for a remaster.
- God of War 4 teaser will be present – will be CG with snippets of in-engine footage. A little early for reveal, but is designed to offset negativity surrounding canceled new IP and generate excitement – also to partially offset CG announce of Gears of War at Microsoft presser. Late 2015. Date won’t be announced.
Okay, these are getting far to specific now, and the Gears of War knowledge seems to have come out of nowhere. Also, “late 2015” but the date won’t be announced?
- Kill Strain trademark is related to Syphon Filter reboot for PS4. Sony Bend working on revamping the franchise. Stealth, beautiful visuals and a possible Winter 2014 title. Bend finally getting to join the big boys.
This one seems like speculation, after reading many comments on the Kill Strain trademark, loads of people pointed towards Syphon Filter. Winter 2014 seems really quick, too, especially for a reboot of a franchise rather than a sequel or Vita title.
- Wipeout is also making the transition to PS4. Source is unsure of who is developing it, but hints that it could be Sony London, Evolution, or Firesprite.
WipEout will make a comeback, and it’s just as likely as any other exclusive title to be shown at E3. If the source is unaware of who is developing, I’m not sure how they know it exists.
- Quantic Dream has a trailer prepared – unsure whether it is penciled in for Gamescom or E3. Sony will be watching Microsoft’s presser earlier in the day to gauge whether additional titles will need to be slotted in to dampen hype. Expect Dark Sorcerer- like visuals in real time. Off-topic, but still relevant – they are close to deal to become a Worldwide Studios developer, along with Ready At Dawn.
Quantic Dream and Ready At Dawn becoming first party Worldwide Studios devs makes sense, but the “reacting to Microsoft’s press conference” bit seems strange – I don’t think they’d change their line-up at the last minute and cause confusion among themselves.
- Speaking of Ready At Dawn, The Order:1886 will get a stage demo. Big title for Fall 2014. Sony is expecting great things from said title – franchise hopes rest on its performance.
Of course it’ll have a stage demo. It’s been previewed, trailered, gameplay has been shown, but we haven’t seen anyone play it – that’s the next step.
- Ninja Theory working on a PS4 exclusive – possible Heavenly Sword sequel which was shelved a number of years ago. Quite far into development.
Ninja Theory are working on a new title, that much is known. I’d say it’s unlikely to be a Heavenly Sword sequel, but we can dream.
- Sony London will be at E3. First AAA title in many years. 3rd person title. Gorgeous. They’re back with a bang.
Bit vague, this one. A lot of big Sony exclusives are third person and gorgeous.
- Guerrilla Games bringing their RPG to E3. Provocative setting – very interesting. Insane visuals as usual. A good reaction to the title is expected. Will please the hardcore.
They’ve got a new title in the works, we know that, and it’s going to be different from Killzone, so an RPG would be interesting. Maybe it’s Bloodborne?
- Sucker Punch busy at work on an inFAMOUS: Second Son DLC. Really cool. New powers. Possible new setting. E3 debut.
This definitely makes sense, and new powers is the obvious next step for any inFamous DLC.
- Sony Japan Studios debuting two, maybe even three titles. Project Beast – spiritual successor to Demon Souls. The other is The Last Guardian. Retooled for PS4, possible Winter 2014 title. The Other title is shrouded in secrecy.
Project Beast has already leaked, but the Demons Souls link is just chatter right now. The Last Guardian is still in development, but they’re remaining very quiet about that. They’ll definitely have something.
- Evolution will give Driveclub some time in the limelight. It’s shaping up to be incredible with jaw-dropping visuals. Demo release will be timed with the press conference.
Of course they will, it’s coming out this October. We’ve already seen how jaw-dropping those visuals are.
What do you think? There are a few oddities in there, some things which would be easy to guess, and a distinct lack of anything for PS Vita or PS3. It seems unlikely that Sony wouldn’t be showing more winter 2014 titles, too. Probably a load of rubbish, right? But at least we can speculate, and that’s always fun.

I remember getting my PS3 in 2008 and playing the first Uncharted and spending ages just looking around admiring the visuals…I did the same with The Last of Us…then on the PS4 with ACIV Black Flag and inFamous Second Son…
Uncharted…on the PS4…is going to be jaw-dropping…

Gears of war?? Lol
Starman
Warhawk 2 or MAG 2 please.
cc_star
I would give body organs for a Warhawk 2.
Planetside 2 will be the closest(ish) sort of title to MAG, or maybe even Acti/Bungie’s Destiny.
Foxhound_Solid
Wow. Just wow.

Seemed reasonable until The Last Guardian. :-P
Yeah, there’s nothing here that proves insider knowledge. Most of it’s speculative or safe bets and what may well be random specifics to gain believability. I’ll be surprised if it all turns out true.

Come on, Throw caution to the wind…..BELIEVE……

I’m hoping there’s a bit more to it, to be honest. A lot of that is just sequels and reboots, I’m more interested in some new stuff. The Order, I’d like to see more of and that Guerilla RPG could be interesting. Would be good to see what Ninja Theory and Sony London are doing as well, but Wipeouts, InfamousDLC and more GoWs? I hope you got more than that..
