We’ve heard and seen a steady drip feed of information about the upcoming Expedition DLC for Titanfall over the last couple of weeks, but that last little elusive detail, that of the release date, has finally come into focus. You’ll be able to grab the map pack for Xbox One and PC from tomorrow, Thursday 15th May.
As I said, they’ve been clearly building up to this point, so forgive me for repeating previous news posts, but this pack is set to feature a trio of new maps, Swampland, Runoff, and War Games, each with their own twist on the gameplay that is familiar from the main game. Runoff, for example, is a more compact affair than elsewhere, in contrast to the much grander open spaces of Swampland.
This is the first pack of three, with each set to come for £7.99/$9.99, or as part of the season pass for £19.99/$24.99. However, while this goes live tomorrow for XBO and PC, Xbox 360 players will be left out in the cold for a little while longer, as the maps are sent of to Respawn’s porting partners at Bluepoint Games. Just as the 360 got the actual game about a month later, the same rough delay will also hit the DLC, which won’t arrive until some time in June.
In the meantime, I guess you can just enjoy that trailer for the DLC, which came out a few days ago:

Half-tempted by this add-on pack but the community is still nice and large so there’s no immediate need to buy more content. The lack of achievements also put me off a bit.
