NIS America has announced that Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed will be hitting European shores for PS3 and Vita, with the release date being set for October 10th. The game is an open world RPG which places players in a rendition of Tokyo’s Akihabara district, famous for being known as the Electric Town due to the huge amount of places dedicated to gaming, anime and manga.
The story follows Nanashi who becomes part Synthister, the game’s vampires, but is saved from turning fully after a hunter called Shizuku thanks to a bloody kiss. Together they team up to fight the threat using all manner of objects as weapons. The combat system has you strip these vampires down until enough skin is exposed to the sun to kill them. There are multiple routes to take in the story, and you’ll be able to keep track of it all on an in game smartphone that alerts you to quests, as well as gaining new info from the in game social sites.
Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed is being billed as a satire of anime and game themes. NIS has also stated that up to 130 real stores located in Akihabara have been recreated to give an accurate look at the area.
