We thought it might be coming today, after reports this morning indicated that Minecraft PS4 edition would be bundled in as a semi-surprise in today’s PSN Store Update. But then that update came, and Minecraft was nowhere to be seen.
Well, better late than never, and the game has finally arrived for PS4. You’re able to head over to the web store to purchase it and start downloading, or a search on the PS4 store should also do the trick. If not, try to go to all games and then sort by newest first, skipping past the pre-orders to find it.
The title costs £12.99 to buy, though if you own the PS3 version it should be £3.69. The game will release on Xbox One this Friday with a similar discount for owners of the Xbox 360 version, and will be coming to PS Vita at some point in the future.

Having never experienced Minecraft, I’m glad to have spent an hour of so with the demo. It’s not really my cuppa, but I can only commend it for it’s creativity and simplicity. It fully deserves the success it has received and I’d much rather kids were stuck in front of this ‘digital Lego’ all day, than most other video games.
