It’s a disappointing start for Driveclub, and not only because of the server issues which are plaguing the game’s online portion. The game has landed in at fifth – although third if you go by individual platforms – in the latest UK charts.
FIFA 15 remains king, of course, closely followed by Alien: Isolation, Shadow of Mordor, and Forza Horizon 2. Destiny is still clinging on for dear life at sixth place, while Skylanders and NBA jump in at 7th and 8th respectively. The full chart is below.

I’m guessing a lot of people are holding off buying DriveClub until they can sample the PS Plus edition.
The large amount of negative reviews probably haven’t helped either but from what I’ve played of the single player campaign and the fun I’ve had so far I’d give it an 8 or 9/10. I guess thats equates to 85/100. :)
If anyone is getting impatient waiting for the Plus version I’d recommend taking the plunge and doing the £35 Plus upgrade. I reckon I’ve got my moneys worth out of it already over the weekend.

totally agree, I took the plunge on Friday night and played it whenever i got the chance over weekend. Not had this much fun since Forza 5 and im yet to try online although it seemed to be up yesterday with the exception of creating a club. Even with all its problems its the best money ive spent so far on the PS4. Maybe im easily pleased

The cheapest option for buying the game is also not included in this chart (they don’t count digital sales). I’m also having a blast, track design and immediacy of the game are really good. Server/connection situation is really poor though.

In that case, if this is only disc sales then I don’t think 5th place is that bad as I assume a lot of people will use the upgrade option.

My impatience kicked in yesterday afternoon so i’ve been playing it all last night and again this morning.
An easy 8/10 for me so far and the and inevitable connectivity fix and AI tweak will only elevate that. Not to mention the weather update, photo mode and replays which are coming too.
Wait and see, i reckon a lot of people are going to want to upgrade to the full game once they’ve had a chance to experience the plus version. :)

My finger has been hovering over the buy button for the last couple of days but i’m managing to hold out for the plus demo/trial to finally appear.
Been watching online videos and streams and it looks pretty good and most people seem to really like it.
Not sure how long i’ll be able to resist temptation though especially as i get paid on wednesday.

Well you may as well just buy it now and save yourself the misery of holding off until the plus edition comes along. You will only get sucked in eventually!!!!
