EA has announced the release date for Battlefield Hardline, with the police twist on the franchise launching March 17th in North America, and March 19th in Europe, for PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. The game was announced to be launching in early 2015 instead of during the Christmas window a few months ago, with the reasons given that the beta had inspired some new ideas that needed to be implemented. It’s also a wise move as the March window gives Hardline quite a bit of breathing space after the holiday release madness.
The story of Battlefield: Hardline takes place in Miami with the plot following detectives Nick Mendoza and Khai Minh Dao. Their main case focuses on the illegal drug trade, and finding the source of it all. The story will also deal with the corruption that such a business can bring to law enforcement. The multiplayer will see you fight on both sides of the law across various modes including carrying out heists, and other modes will probably be announced off the beta feedback.
