505 Games has announced that Terraria will be releasing next week on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One from next week, bringing the 2D exploration and building title to the current gen. North American PS4 owners can get it on the 11th of November, while Europe gets it on the 12th. Xbox One owners will have to wait until the 14th. This isn’t just a straight port with the new gen versions getting a lot more content than the other builds, and with a world that holds three times more content than the last gen versions. The PlayStation 4 edition will also support cross-play so you can transfer progress between the PS3 and Vita.
It doesn’t appear cross-buy will be supported across all the Sony machines, but if you do buy the PS4 version then you will get the Vita copy too though only for a limited time. New gen Terraria will have 1000 new additions including ores, enemies, bosses, NPCs, wings, wood types, combinations, and paintings. On PS4 you’ll also be able to zoom in and out by doing a pinch motion on the dualshock 4’s touchpad. A companion app is also in the works that will show your in game location in real time, so you can see what dangers surround you.
