Here we are at the final sales chart for games of 2014. Over the year there have been some surprise number ones but it is the big franchises that have dominated proceedings. It’s unsurprising then that the final top five of 2014 are all from major and established franchises, with Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare taking a fifth number one spot and ending 2014 top of the pile. Sales have seen two new IPs finish in the top ten with both Ubisoft’s The Crew and Evolution’s DriveClub finishing sixth and seventh.
Destiny has fallen out of the top ten, and LittleBigPlanet 3 has risen from 20th to 13th. Minecraft manages to remain in two top ten spots due to being split by platform.

DriveClub keeps climbing up, I am tempted to pick it up
JR.
Me too. I was holding out for the ps plus trial version but the price of the full game has plummeted in the last few weeks and I’ve been tempted to pick it up myself.
Though, I wouldn’t be surprised if they gave us the full game with ps plus now instead of the trial as originally planned.

Unity has been half price for a couple of weeks now which could explain why it’s sitting at no. 4 despite the backlash.
I know it’s been patched recently but I still feel reluctant to play it until they can guarantee that I wont encounter any game breaking bugs.

My gaming taste must be weird. I only own one of these games. I will be grabbing a ps4 with lbp3 though – glad its picking up a bit and doing well – there wasn’t much fanfare this time round and I barely knew it was coming out

LBP3 is great. Just finished the story levels last night and I loved it.
It’s a lot easier than the first games and much shorter overall but it’s still a lot of fun. The new characters are great and the levels are much more interesting with the extra layers. I can’t wait to check out create mode.
Touch wood, I haven’t had any bugs either.
The only issue I have is that you seem to see the loading screen a lot. Definitely worth a play though.
