Pillars Of Eternity was one of the big Kickstarter projects and when its funding period ended Obsidian Entertainment managed to get almost $4 million through the site. That was back in October 2012 and since then there has been steady progress on the game, though it did require a delay. Now though the isometric RPG has finally got a firm date of release, and that is March 26th worldwide for PC, Mac, and Linux. Tomorrow there will be a stream showing off new content in the game as well, which you can catch on Paradox Interactive’s Twitch channel. That studio is helping to publish Pillars.
If you did back the original Kickstarter campaign for a tier that had physical goods you will receive an email in February, which will ask you to confirm your address. The 26th of March is also when backers will be notified on how to redeem Pillars Of Eternity, as well as other rewards, so keep an eye on your emails for that too. This last period before release will be used to hunt down any bugs that remain, as well as to give a bit of additional polish to the game.
