Submerged Announced For PlayStation 4

It’s Friday afternoon so time to unwind, and what better way than with a “serene exploration adventure”, namely Submerged on PlayStation 4.

The game follows the story of siblings Miku and Taku who arrive in a city that has mysteriously become flooded and overgrown. Miku must explore and gather supplies to nurse her brother back to health and as she explores secrets of the city and it’s deformed inhabitants will be revealed.

The game does look atmospheric, but for me there is a distracting amount of objects popping during that trailer, trees and foliage are magically arriving in shot, both in the foreground and the background. Hopefully that can be ironed out before release, else it will be very distracting.

  1. The trees popping up are a bit off putting but like you say there’s plenty time to put it right. Will have to see more before deciding on the game.

  2. Probably still in beta. Give ’em a chance! :-)

Cheers for bringing it to our attention, though. Looks lovely and very much something I’d enjoy (assuming it turns out well).

    • I think it looks terrible. It’s not a case of being given a chance, they should work on it more before releasing anything if it looks that shoddy.

  3. One of the devs responded to a comment on the PS Blog re the tree pop up issue and its something thats going to be dealt with apparently. Its a shame they put a video out before it sorted but it does look like a promising game. Im looking forward to hearing more about this game.
