The Division has been pushed back to early 2016, it has been revealed. The Xbox One, PS4 and PC open-world shooter is now scheduled for a release during the first quarter of 2016.
An update to the game’s website said the delay was to “ensure the game not only meets our high expectations but also those of our fans and players alike.”
The developer’s promised to show more on The Division next month at E3.

Dammit. This is the game I have been waiting for… and waiting, and waiting. Ah well, guess I’m still waiting!

I read that development has been ‘hell’, but Q1 2016 isn’t a big delay though, maybe it’s just to give it some space from other shooters releasing later this year.
And that subtitle made me chuckle Adam!

You could see that coming a mile away!

Why does it feel like I watched the reveal trailer for this game four years ago.

I wonder what percentage of games get a release date either official or a vague “summer 2015” etc and get delayed, it must be over half.

I’ll rather it be delayed than be broken, but it’s still annoying when you’re looking foward to it. Hopefully Rainbow Six is still ok for later this year!

Exactly mate. As it is, the game is going to look inferior to the earlier teasers (as did Watch_Dogs), so I would rather it wasn’t rushed and toned down further just to hit a specific release date.
hazelam
well, better than releasing a broken mess.

I could have sworn this was already announced :s I’ve been telling people it was 2016 since the start of the year… I guess they’ll be less disappointed!
As for me, the delay is annoying, but I really don’t mind, as I expect this game to be fantastic. With Ubisofts recent releases, they can definitely afford to spend more time on it instead.
RudeAwakening
The developers announced it at the end of last year, if i remember correctly. They said it wasn’t looking likely it would be released in 2015 more like early 2016.

Ah, yes, that would make sense… I took it as gospel at the time, so I wouldn’t get upset by the above article. Huzzah! No disappointment for me today =D

Rumour has it that Ubisoft have reviewed pre-release graphics and demanded they be downgraded, hence the additional time required.
