Mediatonic has announced a sequel to pigeon dating simulator, Hatoful Boyfriend, which will be called Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star. The game will be coming to PC, PS4 & Vita and will have players trying to woo potential pigeon partners in winter wonderlands, though whether you’ll be able to sing a rendition of ‘Baby, It’s Cold Outside’ in the quest for love is not confirmed.
Devolver Digital will be publishing Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star at some point in the autumn, and this is what CFO Fork Parker had to say on the game.
“While we would have loved to create an all-new franchise with our friends at Mediatonic, investing $350,000 in bird motion capture gear limits our options.”
The original Hatoful Boyfriend is already out on PC and will be releasing on PS4 & Vita at some point this summer, though no solid release date has been announced yet. If you want to get some impressions on the original then you can read Sam’s diary from when he tried to date some digital pigeons.
