If you were hoping to obliterate some Vex this evening then it’s bad news, Bungie have scheduled some down time for Destiny and it will occur between 4pm and 10pm BST.
Spread the word. Destiny will be offline for maintenance tomorrow, starting at about 8AM PDT. Downtime could last for 6 hours. Future plans!

It seems a little early to be tweaking the game for the forthcoming The Taken King pack so perhaps this is just general tinkering and maintenance.
If you are looking for something to do while Destiny is offline, why not read our thoughts on the latest online MMO for PlayStation and Xbox One, The Elder Scrolls Online. Myself and Dom spent ages in the game and not a single person has commented on it.This has made Dom very sad because he had a terrible time trying to get the game to work.

Maybe you could do some overtime to help pay for the RIP OFF that is The Taken King!
$40 in the US… £40 in the UK for the same content!
Tuffcub
US prices don’t include sales tax and other gubbins, ours does, take that off (20%) and the DLC is about £32, couple of quid more than than what it is in the US – currently. They have to factor in FX fluctuations, hence the extra couple of quid. Its not Bungie swiping your extra money, it’s David Cameron.

$40 in pounds is £25.26 at the current exchange rate. Add 20% and you get £30.31 not $40 – the £9.69 is PURE GREED on Bungivision’s part.
Avenger
Plus a lot of other games have no problem equalasing the price within reason, so there’s little excuse for bungie/activision putting it at one pound to one dollar.

Take 20% off forty quid and you get £32. Thats the price you should compare Cereberus64. Still not £26 quid, but closer. As I said, there’s always a couple quid due to fluctuating currency rates, and of course being an american company, Activision have to pay bank fees for your £40 to be turned in to dollars – just the same as you pay a fee at the Beureau de change when you want to turn pounds in to whatever. You cant just do a straight conversion.

US Sales tax seems to be around 10% So even if you add tax to the US price it’s still a lot lower than the UK price minus any tax…..
