The PSN is down and I have run out ways of writing the same post, but the facts are it’s a bit broken. It should be noted that it’s a holiday in the USA today, so if you did want to annoy Sony today would be the day to launch a silly DDoS attack. It’s probably not that, but it’s a thought.
UPDATE: Some people seem to be getting on but not all. The store is working for me but the three online games I tested, Destiny, Elder Scrolls Online, and AirMech Area are all failing to connect to the PSN. Sony have confirmed there are problems.

UPDATE #2: According to Sony, everything is back up and running. Now TV seems to be working for me but Destiny and other games will still not connect.

Perhaps they could make an anniversary out of this, perhaps a plaque to those who have stuck with PSN from the beginning.
In fairness it’s been okay for a while, shame Sony haven’t kept up the consistency.
