The Empire Is On The Attack In First In-Engine Total War: Warhammer Trailer

It likely doesn’t quite represent how the game will look during play, but it looks like Total War: Warhammer is pushing Creative Assembly’s game engine to the next level, with a new in-engine cinematic trailer starring Emperor Karl Franz in the Battle of Black Fire Pass between the Empire and Orcs.

It’s the first in a series of cinematic trailers planned, looking to introduce each of the Legendary Lords, who are famous characters from the Warhammer universe being transposed into the traditional gameplay from Total War. They can be used to lead the charge during your campaign, with each having unique special abilities, weapons, armour, mounts and narrative quests, as befitting their tabletop game forms.

This particular trailer also acts as a sneak peek into what was shown at E3 this year, with the Battle of Black Fire Pass set to be revealed in full alongside developer commentary on 30th July.
